Job Title: Maintenance Engineer – Robotic Systems Department: Maintenance / Engineering Job Type: Full-Time Reporting To: Maintenance Manager / Engineering Lead Job Summary: We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team and support the smooth functioning of robotic assembly equipment. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, rapid troubleshooting, and upkeep of advanced automation systems including PLCs, drive systems, sensors, and vision equipment. Major Roles & Responsibilities:1. Preventive MaintenanceExecute routine preventive maintenance schedules on robotic assembly systems. Ensure all robotic and peripheral equipment operate at optimal performance levels and have extended service life. 2. Troubleshooting and RepairsDiagnose faults and promptly repair robotic systems. Resolve PLC-related issues and communication faults across different PLC systems. 3. Vision System MaintenanceMaintain and troubleshoot vision systems integrated into the assembly line. Ensure consistent and accurate functionality for product quality inspection. 4. Drive SystemsPerform maintenance and troubleshooting of Siemens and SEW drive systems. Ensure energy-efficient and uninterrupted operation of drive systems. 5. Sensing DevicesInstall, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial sensors such as proximity, photoelectric, pressure, and temperature sensors. Ensure all sensors function accurately to support process control and safety. 6. Electrical HoistsConduct maintenance and repairs on electrical hoists used in production environments. Ensure safe operation in compliance with relevant safety standards. 7. DocumentationMaintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance work including repairs, adjustments, downtime logs, and replaced parts. Support audit and continuous improvement initiatives through timely reporting. Qualifications & Experience:Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related engineering field. 2–6 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or automation-intensive environment. Hands-on experience with robotic systems, PLCs (Siemens/Allen Bradley), and industrial automation tools. Familiarity with Siemens and SEW drives, vision systems, and industrial sensor networks. Key Skills:Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities Familiarity with industrial safety standards and practices Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals Excellent documentation and reporting skills Proactive approach with good communication and team coordination abilities Preferred:Exposure to CMMS or SAP PM modules Experience in the automotive or electronics manufacturing sector Certification in PLC programming or robotics (desirable)
