Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Machining Production (Manager / Sr Manager) at Modern Automotives Ltd, located on-site in Chandigarh, India. The role involves overseeing daily machining production operations, ensuring the efficiency and quality of the production process, and managing a team of production staff. The Manager/Sr Manager will be responsible for maintaining production schedules, implementing quality assurance protocols, coordinating with other departments, and optimizing production workflows.

· Pursuing Excellence in all areas of Manufacturing using TPM as tool. · To ensure Safety/Health and Environment of man/materials/machines.· Optimum utilization of resources ensuring maximum OEE.· To ensure Quality systems are in place.· To continuously reduce the manufacturing cost. To efficiently run the manufacturing.· To create a safe, healthy work environment and harmonious relationship with employees.· Team building and inculcating positive approach. · Effective implementation of Performance management system & development program.
Responsibilities
· To achieve 100% production plan as per customer schedule.· To ensure better Overall Plant Efficiency of manufacturing area.· To ensure timely JH activities to improve health of all machines. · To plan resources (man, material, machines, tools & consumables) in most efficient way to meet the production targets.· To continuously reduce the manufacturing cost to improve the profitability.· To ensure maintenance of jig/fixture’s as per plan. · To ensure daily downtime monitoring, Analysis and action plan review with Plant Head · To increase the utilization by continuous improvement in operational down time. · Continuously improving productivity, quality norms and design improvement of heavy tool.· To plan resources (man, material & machines) in most efficient way to meet the production targets.· To continuously reduce the manufacturing cost to improve the profitability.· To ensure daily production punching in SAP & daily MIS/dashboard review.· To ensure effective daily work management system of department and get it reviewed with the Plant Head. · To ensure 100% adherence to Quality systems, audit processes & customer norms.· To ensure machine & process capability – 100%. (Monthly data monitoring as per Cp/Cpk value) & action plan for improving CPK value.· To create a safe, healthy work environment and harmonious relationship with employees.· To ensure team building and skill enhancement of team members & multi skilling of operators. · To ensure 100% employee involvement in doing Kaizen to ensure continuous improvement. 5’S implementation of CNC shop. · IATF 16949(QMS), ISO 14001(EMS) & ISO 45001(OHS) standard requirement practical implementation in the shop floor-maintaining standard formats, training, procedures to all concerned and effectiveness monitoring on monthly basis.· Preparation of weekly shift schedule & submission to HR with the approval of Plant Head.
- To control manpower absenteeism and attrition by motivating and training to employees in co-ordination with HR department.
· To develop successor through 2nd line employees.
