Position Overview:

The Chief of Staff (CoS) for the Managing Director’s Office will play a pivotal role in supporting the MD in overseeing the strategic and operational direction of the company. This individual will act as a key advisor, facilitator, and integrator of the MD’s priorities, ensuring seamless coordination across departments, executives, and external stakeholders. The CoS will work closely with the MD to drive strategic initiatives, manage key projects, and optimize overall organizational performance in the automotive parts manufacturing industry.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning & Execution:

  • Assist the MD in developing and executing strategic goals and initiatives for the company.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental collaboration to implement the company’s long-term vision.
  • Track the progress of key initiatives and ensure alignment with the MD’s strategic objectives.
  1. Operational Efficiency & Project Management:

  • Oversee and support the execution of priority projects within the company, ensuring deadlines, milestones, and budgets are met.
  • Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Act as a liaison between the MD and various departments to streamline communication and enhance productivity.
  1. Leadership & Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as the MD’s right hand, ensuring they are fully prepared for meetings, presentations, and decision-making processes.
  • Communicate with senior leadership, managers, and external stakeholders on behalf of the MD.
  • Foster strong relationships with key internal and external partners, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  1. Decision Support & Information Flow:

  • Provide the MD with critical insights, reports, and data to inform decision-making.
  • Analyze complex issues and distill them into clear, actionable recommendations for the MD.
  • Manage the flow of information to and from the MD’s office, ensuring timely responses to internal and external queries.
  1. Executive Office Management:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the MD’s office, including scheduling, prioritizing meetings, and managing correspondence.
  • Coordinate and manage MD’s calendar to optimize time for high-priority meetings and activities.
  • Act as a gatekeeper for the MD, handling sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  1. Cultural and Organizational Development:

  • Promote and model the company’s core values, culture, and vision.
  • Support the MD in building a strong, cohesive executive leadership team.
  • Contribute to developing talent within the organization and supporting key leadership initiatives.


Qualifications:

  • Education

    : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience

    :
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in a strategic or leadership role, ideally within the automotive, manufacturing, or similar industries.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects, cross-functional teams, and high-level executive communications.
  • Experience working with senior leadership teams and external stakeholders to drive results.

  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
