We will innovate to transform, and we will deliver this through our five strategic priorities: transform services, digital innovator, deliver increased value, invest in people’s futures, end customer focused - enabled by our colleagues, culture, attitude and our values and behaviors.The role of an Loss Prevention Analyst in a Global Capability Center is to Systematically review trends to identify losses borne out of theft/fraud and/or process breakdown in the Customer and Product business, including BPME, Loyalty and BP Plus Card. Provide detailed analysis and insight into root causes of Retail loss/fraud/theft and present these to Business Partners and Control stakeholders across the BP Business hence should have a Growth mindset to help bp stay ahead of the competition and make a positive impact in the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and apply tools, provide a detailed level of insight through root cause analysis on why loss and/or fraud/theft have occurred and present findings to applicable business units.
  • Develop suitable controls/and or rule sets to prevent recurrence of known fraud/theft incidents.
  • External benchmarking and keeping abreast of industry innovations and standard process.
  • Ensure suspicious/fraudulent and loss metric reporting is accurate and timely.
  • Lead investigations into suspected Retail fraud/theft/misconduct.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities in the Loss Prevention Analyst role to ensure maximum value in Loss Prevention processes.
  • Actively build working relationships with key Customers to improve the Loss Prevention and audit Team’s reputation and provide outstanding value by addressing key issues that affect them.
  • Support the provision of analysis to the Retail business to enable them to reduce losses and/or minimize incidents of fraud/theft.
  • Leading data, information and activity relating to many retails sites
  • Demonstrate personal responsibility for the safety and well-being of everyone.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience from an accredited university or college in a relevant field.
  • 4+ years’ business experience in Finance, Loss Prevention or Retail role
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements.
  • Self-starter with the ability to influence senior team members and excel key relationships.
  • Strong commercial thinking & good judgement
  • Understanding of Retail Operations and back-office control activities.
  • Uncompromised attention to detail and strong transactional data analytical skills.
  • Previous investigation experience would be an advantage.
  • Intermediate to sophisticated knowledge of MS Excel and PBI
  • The candidate must possess Perseverance, Analytical skills, Critical thinking skills, Problem-solving skills and be outcome oriented to be successful in this role.
