Job Summary:

The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating the dispatch of goods across various states in India, ensuring timely delivery, proper packaging, and full compliance with inter-state transportation rules. This includes overseeing documentation, coordinating with transporters, and applying correct packaging standards based on the nature of goods and destination requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Dispatch Coordination:

• Schedule and coordinate dispatches to various states across India.
• Liaise with transport partners and logistics companies to arrange timely pickups.
• Prepare dispatch schedules and ensure tracking of shipments till delivery.

Packaging & Compliance:

• Ensure all goods are packed securely and in compliance with inter-state transport norms.
• Apply packaging rules based on product type (e.g., flammable liquids like perfumes).
• Use approved materials such as bubble wrap, corrugated boxes, shrink wrap, etc.
• Ensure labeling and documentation (like GST invoices, E-way bills) are accurate and attached.

Documentation & Legal:

• Generate and verify E-way bills, transport challans, and delivery notes as per state rules.
• Coordinate with accounts team for GST compliance and invoicing.
• Maintain dispatch logs and shipping records accurately.

Quality & Safety:

• Inspect packages before dispatch to avoid damage or leakage.
• Follow safety standards, especially for handling flammable or liquid products.
• Report delays, damages, or issues to the supervisor immediately.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in dispatch/logistics, preferably in inter-state transportation.
• Strong knowledge of packaging requirements and transport rules within India.
• Familiarity with E-way bill generation, GST documentation, and logistics software.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes under pressure.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, email, logistics portals).
• Ability to coordinate well with transporters, warehouse team, and office staff.
