Linux Engineer-Deployment & Automation

Job Description

Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled Linux Engineer to manage the deployment, configuration, and support of our software products in customer environments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Linux system administration, troubleshooting, automation, and customer support to ensure smooth deployments and high availability of our solutions. Key Responsibilities: Deploy and configure software solutions on Linux-based environments (on-premise & cloud). Perform system administration tasks, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and security patching. Troubleshoot deployment issues, system failures, and network-related problems. Work closely with development and DevOps teams to optimize deployments. Write and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Ansible. Provide technical support to clients and internal teams, ensuring timely issue resolution. Monitor system performance, logs, and security vulnerabilities. Maintain technical documentation, deployment guides, and support procedures. Participate in on-call rotation for production support, as needed. Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong expertise in Linux administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL, etc.). Experience with shell scripting (Bash, Python, Ansible, or Terraform). Hands-on experience with server deployment, networking, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. Knowledge of web servers (Apache, Nginx), databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices. Strong problem-solving skills and customer-oriented mindset. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications like RHCSA, RHCE, LFCS, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator are a plus. Experience in ITIL-based support environments.
