Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Linux Administrator with specialized expertise in SUSE Linux and AWS environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with EC2 networking, Linux patching, LVM, kernel tuning, AWS Systems Manager (SSM), automation, EKS, and CIS hardening. This role involves managing and securing our Linux infrastructure, automating processes, and ensuring compliance and performance across cloud and on-premises environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, configure, and maintain SUSE Linux servers with a focus on stability, security, and performance.
• Administer AWS EC2 instances, including network configuration, security groups, and VPC setups.
• Implement and automate Linux patch management using scripting and AWS SSM.
• Manage LVM and storage solutions to optimize disk utilization and flexibility.
• Tune and optimize Linux kernel parameters for performance and security enhancements.
• Utilize AWS SSM for remote management, automation, and patching of Linux instances.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain AWS EKS clusters for containerized workloads.
• Apply CIS (Center for Internet Security) hardening benchmarks to ensure system security and compliance.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for deployment, configuration, and monitoring tasks.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines, cloud migrations, and infrastructure as code practices.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and security standards for audit and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience as a Linux System Administrator with focus on SUSE Linux.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services, particularly EC2, VPC, Security Groups, System Manager (SSM), and EKS.
• Proven experience with Linux networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewall management.
• Hands-on experience with Linux patching, kernel tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in LVM, disk management, and storage optimization.
• Familiarity with AWS SSM, Automation, and deploying infrastructure as code.
• Deep understanding of CIS security benchmarks and hardening techniques.
• Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters with EKS.
• Scripting abilities in Bash, Python, or similar for automation and tooling.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Certifications like AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Linux Foundation Certifications, or SUSE Certified Engineer are preferred.
