Job Description

Role Overview:

Linux System Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

Linux System Administration

Install, configure, and maintain
Linux servers
(RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE) in
physical and virtual environments
.

Manage and troubleshoot
system performance, security, and storage-related issues
.

Perform
system upgrades, migrations, and patch management
for Linux-based systems.

Handle
user management, access controls, and system permissions
.

Configure and manage
Logical Volume Manager (LVM)
and
YUM package manager
.

Scripting & Automation

Develop and maintain
BASH and Ansible scripts
for automating system administration tasks.

Implement
CIS security hardening
and compliance best practices.

Automate
patch deployment, system monitoring, and configuration management
.

High Availability & Cluster Management

Configure and manage
Linux clustering solutions
for
high availability
.

Troubleshoot and optimize
failover and load-balancing mechanisms
.

Service & Application Management

Install, configure, and maintain essential Linux services such as:
- SFTP/FTP
  Secure file transfer services
- MySQL
  Database administration
- NTP
  Network time protocol for time synchronization
- NFS
  Network File System for shared storage
- Samba
  File sharing across different OS environments

Ensure
system security and compliance
through access controls and logging mechanisms.
