Position Summary:

This is a manager role and will oversee all legal, contractual, and compliance matters of Allcargo Logistics Limited (ATL) as legal head, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements and mitigating legal risks. This role will provide strategic legal advice to ATL management and lead contract negotiations. This role will also manage critical litigations of the Allcargo Group which would include ATL.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice on business operations, contracts, and regulatory issues.
• Develop and implement internal policies, standard operating procedures, and compliance frameworks.

2. Contract Management:

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including vendor, client, lease, service, non-disclosure, and joint venture agreements.
• Standardize contract templates and ensure consistent legal practices across the organization.
• Advise business teams on contractual risks and safeguards.

3. Litigation & Dispute Resolution:

• Manage litigation portfolio, including commercial, criminal, labor, property, and taxation matters.
• Coordinate with external counsels and represent the company before courts and tribunals when required.
• Track and report on litigation progress and exposure.
• Manage critical litigations of the group.

4. Risk Management:

• Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Conduct legal due diligence for new business initiatives, acquisitions, or partnerships

• Advise management on regulatory changes and their implications for business operations.

2. Stakeholder Management:

• Partner with internal departments such as HR, Operations, Finance, and Procurement to support legal compliance.
• Should have experience working with senior leadership.
• Support training and awareness programs for employees on legal and compliance topics.

3. Team management and dynamics:

• This role will have one reportee and will be required to work with other legal department members.
• The candidate should have experience in working with large legal teams.
• The candidate should have experience navigating in a large organization.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education:

  LL.B / LL.M from a reputed institution.

• Experience:

  1218 years of post-qualification experience in corporate legal function, preferably within the logistics, shipping, supply chain, or service sector.

• Expertise:

  Strong knowledge of commercial law, contract law, regulatory compliance, and dispute management.

• Skills:

• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability.
