Legal Advocate

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Advocate/Lawyer with expertise in financial laws and regulations to join our Finance Department. The ideal candidate will provide legal support in financial transactions, regulatory compliance, contract management, and dispute resolution. This role is critical in ensuring the company’s financial operations are legally sound and protected.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, draft, and negotiate finance-related contracts, loan agreements, investment documents, and other financial instruments.
• Advise the Finance team on legal implications of business decisions, funding structures, and corporate finance strategies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, RBI guidelines, SEBI norms, Companies Act, FEMA, etc.
• Represent the organization in financial litigation, arbitration, and other dispute resolution forums.
• Handle recovery proceedings, insolvency & bankruptcy cases (under IBC), and non-performing asset (NPA) issues, if applicable.
• Liaise with external legal counsel, regulators, financial institutions, and internal departments.
• Draft and vet internal financial policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks.
• Monitor changes in financial legislation and proactively advise stakeholders.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• LLB/LLM from a recognized university.
• Registered with the Bar Council of India.
• 2–3 years of experience in financial or corporate law, preferably in a corporate legal team, law firm, or financial institution.
• Experience with financial litigation, regulatory compliance, and contract law.
• Strong understanding of Indian financial regulatory environment.
