Job Overview

The Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing learning programs that enhance employee performance, skill development, engagement, and career growth. The role includes evaluating training needs, creating capability-building initiatives, coordinating internal/external learning programs, and tracking learning outcomes to support business goals and organizational growth.

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Training Strategy & Planning

Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) across business units to identify skill gaps.
Develop and implement the annual learning plan aligned to organizational goals.Evaluate training priorities based on performance metrics and capability needs.

Program Design & Delivery

Design e-learning and classroom training programs using modern instructional methodologies.
Develop role-specific training modules, onboarding training, and leadership development programs.Facilitate internal training sessions and coordinate with internal SMEs/trainers.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

Collaborate with external training partners to deliver technical, behavioral, and compliance training.
Manage vendor performance, budgets, and training contracts.Partner with managers and BU heads to drive learning engagement.

Learning Systems & Technology

Manage and maintain Learning Management System (LMS) and ensure timely learning assignment and completions.
Track digital learning programs and support content curation.

Competency & Career Development

Drive competency mapping initiatives and align skill development with job roles.
Support IDPs (Individual Development Plans) and succession planning programs.Facilitate leadership & managerial development journeys.

Evaluation & Reporting

Measure training effectiveness using models like Kirkpatrick or similar evaluation methods.
Track participation, certifications, and training metrics; generate monthly L&D dashboards.Evaluate ROI and provide data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent project management and coordination abilities
  • Understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies
  • Proficiency in LMS tools and MS Office Suite
  • Analytical mindset with strong data reporting skills
  • Good stakeholder engagement and teamwork capabilities
