Job Requirements Role/ Job Title: Lead-Operational Risk Function/ Department: Enterprise Risk Management Job Purpose The Candidate will be responsible for designing/redesigning strategies to ensure effective coverage of operational risk for retail liabilities. It includes building up teams, systems, process and culture amenable to the scale and consistency of delivery. The role will closely collaborate with the Business/Product Heads and Heads of other supporting units to drive efficiency in enterprise risk management. The roll is responsible compliances with regards to its function, and regulatory reporting, as applicable. Roles & Responsibilities Analyze and identify operational risks within retail liabilities (business as well as operations) including those related to processes, systems, people, and external events. This shall include review of processes and operational risk incidents. Develop and maintain the operational risk management framework for retail liabilities, aligning it with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with business units, operations, and other risk/support functions to ensure effective risk management practices. Identify opportunities for improving the operational risk management framework and processes. Prepare and present regular reports on operational risk exposures, trends, and control effectiveness to senior management and relevant stakeholders. Ensure review of key risk indicators and controls for any critical process or key product launch. Undertake testing of controls, as applicable. Ensure that portfolio risk reports and dashboards are generated, disseminated and followed up appropriately in adherence to defined procedures and quality standards. Perform a periodical review of the bank’s products and processes and provide risk mitigation controls and training to business to facilitate optimum protection of IDFC First Bank’s business interests Secondary Responsibilities Facilitate the establishment of a risk management culture and harmonized enterprise risk management frameworks across the bank. Lead continuous improvement of enterprise risk systems, processes and practices considering international best practices, evolving regulatory/international standards and the business environment. Ensure that all operational and portfolio risk reports are prepared timely and accurately. Define an optimum organization structure for the team so that resources are optimally utilized, and communication can take place in an efficient manner. Managerial And Leadership Responsibilities Mentor and coach senior team members to percolate ethos of customer centricity, innovation, compliance and integrity. Create environments for constant innovation and sharing of ideas bottom up to serve the customer’s needs holistically. Attract and retain best-in-class talent for key roles in their reporting structure. Monitor key parameters on employee productivity, hiring quality and attrition rates and make necessary improvements. Education Qualification Graduation: Any Graduate with relevant experience. Post-graduation: CA/MBA or equivalent/Operational Risk Certification Experience 15+ Years which includes experience of retail liabilities and risk management. Show more Show less
