Lead Engineer

Position = Lead Engineer – Proposal & Tender Estimation (5+ years of experience)

Location = Chennai and UAE

o Review tender documents and technical specifications to gain a clear understanding of project requirements.

o Prepare detailed cost estimates for systems and equipment, including PLC-SCADA systems, instruments, instrument installation accessories, overheads, materials, labor, subcontractors, and site activities such as instrumentation installation, panel fabrication, cabling, and containment.

o Develop comprehensive techno-commercial proposals, including detailed bills of quantities, material take-offs, quantity calculations, and technical design concepts & base drawings.

o Manage pre-tender clarifications to address all client queries and ensure proposals are fully compliant.

o Handle post-tender clarifications following bid submission to resolve any outstanding questions.

o Verify proposals for accuracy, compliance with client requirements, and overall profitability.

o Possess strong knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems (Rockwell, Siemens, Emersion, Schnider etc…) hardware Systems, industrial instrumentation, control systems, Control & instrumentation cabling, Site Cable ways and field installation practices etc.

o Proficient in selecting and specifying SCADA hardware, including servers, workstations, display units, modems, routers, firewalls, and related network components.

o Skilled in interpreting and understanding PLC/SCADA system architecture drawings, P&ID instrumentation drawings, related electrical and control panels, and third-party systems.

o Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word) with working knowledge of AutoCAD for preparing and reviewing technical documentation and drawings.

o Prepare costing, budgeting, and margin analysis to develop competitive and profitable bids.

o Lead coordination efforts with sales, engineering, procurement, and other internal teams to gather inputs, ensure tasks are completed on time, and deliver the Techno – Commercial proposals within deadlines.

o Experience in estimation and proposal preparation for Industrial Automation projects, including district cooling plants, pumping stations, water treatment plants, metro tunnel ventilation system (TVS), power plants, fuel hydrant systems, tank gauging applications, etc.

Pay: ₹468,888.88 - ₹1,679,575.62 per year
