Lead Devops Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Lead DevOps Engineer with 7+yrs years of experience to join our payment processing platform team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with modern CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and infrastructure as code practices, with a strong understanding of the security and compliance requirements in the financial services industry. You'll play a key role in maintaining highly available, secure payment systems while automating deployments and managing cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for automated testing and deployment of payment processing systems
  
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters for containerized payment applications with high availability requirements
  
• Deploy and maintain payment applications using ArgoCD for GitOps-based continuous delivery
  
• Build and maintain secure, compliant infrastructure as code using Terraform across multiple cloud environments
  
• Implement and maintain security controls, monitoring, and compliance measures for payment processing systems
  
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure 99.9%+ uptime
  
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment processes while maintaining security standards
  
• Participate in PCI-DSS compliance audits and implement required security controls
  
• Manage disaster recovery procedures and business continuity planning
  
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response for critical payment systems

Required Skills & Experience

• 
  7+ years of DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering experience, preferably in financial services or payment processing
  
• Strong proficiency with Jenkins including pipeline creation, plugin management, and distributed builds
  
• Hands-on experience with ArgoCD for GitOps workflows and application deployment
  
• Solid Kubernetes experience including cluster management, troubleshooting, and resource optimization
  
• Proficient in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management
  
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker)
  
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems administration
  
• Proficiency with Git version control and branching strategies
  
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  
• Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages
  
• Understanding of payment processing concepts (authorization, settlement, clearing)
  
• Knowledge of financial industry security standards and best practices

Nice to Have Skills

• 
  PCI-DSS compliance experience and understanding of card data security requirements
  
• Experience with payment gateways, processors, or fintech companies
  
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks (SOX, PCI, ISO 27001)

• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
  
• Understanding of networking concepts, VPNs, and secure network architectures
