Core Responsibilities of a Key Account Manager

A KAM's role is multifaceted, combining sales, account management, and strategic planning.

1. Relationship Management:

• Primary Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact for all key account activities.
• Trust Building: Develop deep, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders at the client organization (e.g., C-suite executives, department heads).
• Client Advocacy: Act as the client's advocate within your own company, ensuring their needs and feedback are heard and addressed.

2. Strategic Account Growth:

• Revenue Growth: Identify and execute opportunities to expand business within the account (e.g., upselling, cross-selling new products/services).
• Business Planning: Collaborate with the client to create and execute joint business plans that align with their goals.
• Market Intelligence: Understand the client's business, industry trends, and competitive landscape to anticipate their future needs.

3. Internal Coordination:

• Orchestrate Resources: Act as a "quarterback" for the account, coordinating internal teams such as:
• Pre-sales/Consulting: For technical requirements and solutions.
• Customer Support: To resolve any issues quickly.
• Communicate: Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders on account health, risks, and opportunities.

4. Retention and Renewal:

• Proactive Management: Monitor the account for any signs of dissatisfaction or risk of churn.
• Contract Renewals: Lead the negotiation and renewal process for major contracts.
• Satisfaction: Ensure the client is satisfied with the products, services, and overall relationship.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per year
