Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Target Delivery:

  • Achieve key sales metrics in the assigned geography: revenue growth, sales targets, OTIF, and market share improvements.
  • Drive performance across key modern trade scorecard KPIs including MSL compliance, chill tests, and focus SKU sales.
  • Strategic Planning:

  • Collaborate with National Account Managers (NAMs), MT Ops Manager, and CMT Manager to develop regional/monthly strategic plans.
  • Forecast and plan business growth using data-driven insights and market trends.
  • Key Account Management:

  • Build and manage strong relationships with Regional Managers of top modern trade accounts.
  • Conduct regular planning and reviews on a monthly/quarterly basis with key accounts.
  • Team Leadership:

  • Manage direct reports: Area Sales Executives (ASE MT) and Key Distributor Executives (KDE MT).
  • Supervise and support outsourced team members: Area Managers (AM), Team Leaders (TL), merchandisers, and promoters.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Exhibit strong matrix working by closely partnering with internal teams such as General Trade (GT), Expert Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, HR, and Digital Commerce (DCom).
  • Compliance & Execution:

  • Ensure 100% adherence to Haleon's Modern Trade SOPs and ways of working.
  • Drive operational excellence across all retail initiatives and activations in the area.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education:

  • MBA from a premier or Tier-2 business school.
  • Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years of managerial experience in roles such as Area Sales Manager (GT), Key Account Manager (KAM), or Digital Commerce Manager.
  • Prior experience in modern trade or consumer healthcare/FMCG industry preferred.
