Junior Procurement Officer

This trainee role is for doers . If you need repeated reminders to finish basic tasks, don t apply. If you like closing loops and getting things done, you ll do well here.

Using Zoho (ERP + Analytics) to track vendors, follow up orders, and understand buying trends
Vendor sourcing: finding suppliers, onboarding, maintaining vendor data Getting quotes, comparing prices, and negotiation basics Purchase planning, documentation, and process discipline (export context) Working with finance/logistics/operations teams to close tasks properly Using AI tools to write faster, organize better, and reduce mistakes

Call vendors, get quotations, and follow up until you have what s needed
Update purchase and vendor status in the system (no will do later ) Track timelines and flag risks early don t wait for someone to ask Prepare simple trackers/reports for your manager Support the team in meeting buyer timelines and documentation expectations

On-the-job training with seniors (step-by-step)
System walkthroughs and practical exercises Real responsibilities from Day 1 (simple first, then bigger) Weekly feedback so you know exactly what to improve AI + Communication (must-have)

We use AI heavily. You should know how to use AI tools (ChatGPT/Gemini) to communicate faster and better.
Draft clear emails to vendors and itnernaitonal buyers (quotes, follow-ups, delays, confirmations) Write professional WhatsApp messages (short, polite, to the point) Important: AI is a tool not an excuse. Your messages still need to be accurate, respectful, and checked before sending.

Are a graduate (commerce/business/supply chain preferred)
Are comfortable with numbers and basic Excel/Google Sheets Can communicate clearly (phone/email/WhatsApp professionally) Are tech-savvy and open to using AI tools Take accountability: if you take a task, you finish it and update the status Want to grow long-term in procurement/operations
