Job Description

We are seeking a detail oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to support our day to day accounting and HR related work. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of accounting principles, financial documentation, and be keen to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain day-to-day financial transactions, including data entry, ledger postings, etc.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Track payments, receipts, and ensure proper entry in books
  • Support in preparing GST Invoices, TDS, and other statutory compliance filings.
  • Maintain documentation for audits and assist auditors as required.
  • Coordinate with mutual fund companies, insurance firms, and internal teams for brokerage and other legal formalities.
  • Assist in payroll processing and employee reimbursement claims.
  • Assist in preparation of MIS reports related to employee costs, incentives, and reimbursements.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for invoices, follow-ups, and payments.
  • Maintain petty cash register and expense reports.
  • Track commission income from AMCs and insurance partners and reconcile the same.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting of operational expenses including HR and admin costs.
  • Liaise with CA or external accountant for audit support and tax-related tasks.
  • Maintain employee records including attendance, leave balances, and personal files.

HR Support Responsibilities:

  • Assist in recruitment tasks such as scheduling interviews, collecting documents, and onboarding.
  • Help prepare salary statements and process monthly payroll with necessary deductions (PF, TDS, etc.).
  • Draft and issue HR-related letters such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary slips, and experience certificates.
  • Maintain statutory compliance records (PF, ESIC, Professional Tax) and assist with filings.
  • Support employee engagement activities and maintain HR calendars.
  • Coordinate training schedules and track mandatory certifications (e.g., AMFI, IRDA).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, or similar.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Understanding of mutual funds, insurance, and investment instruments (preferred).
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹9,349.89 - ₹28,969.37 per month
