Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Technical Store Executive to manage and oversee the storage and distribution of materials, parts, and components essential to our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will ensure the efficient management of inventory, compliance with safety standards, and timely availability of materials to support production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate purchase requests for replenishments.
- Conduct regular physical inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Material Handling:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications as per ISO & AS9100D standards.
- Label and organize materials in a manner that ensures easy retrieval.
- Oversee the issuance of materials to production as per job orders.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Ensure all inventory records are kept up-to-date in the ERP system.
- Maintain documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Adhere to all regulatory and company safety policies and procedures.
- Coordination and Communication:
- Coordinate with the procurement department for timely ordering of materials.
- Communicate effectively with production, engineering, and quality departments to ensure smooth workflow.
- Handle queries related to inventory and provide support as needed.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement improvements in storage and inventory management processes.
- Utilize lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Safety and Maintenance:
- Ensure the store area is maintained in a clean and organized manner.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and damage to materials.
- Conduct routine checks of storage equipment and report any maintenance needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in inventory management or a similar role, preferably in the defense or aerospace industry.
- Proficient in using ERP systems and inventory management software.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed.
- Familiarity with AS9100D standards related to inventory management is an Added advantage
