Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Management:
• Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions.
• Monitor stock levels and initiate purchase requests for replenishments.
• Conduct regular physical inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
• Material Handling:
• Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications as per ISO & AS9100D standards.
• Label and organize materials in a manner that ensures easy retrieval.
• Oversee the issuance of materials to production as per job orders.
• Documentation and Compliance:
• Ensure all inventory records are kept up-to-date in the ERP system.
• Maintain documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Adhere to all regulatory and company safety policies and procedures.
• Coordination and Communication:
• Coordinate with the procurement department for timely ordering of materials.
• Communicate effectively with production, engineering, and quality departments to ensure smooth workflow.
• Handle queries related to inventory and provide support as needed.
• Process Improvement:
• Identify and implement improvements in storage and inventory management processes.
• Utilize lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Safety and Maintenance:
• Ensure the store area is maintained in a clean and organized manner.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and damage to materials.
• Conduct routine checks of storage equipment and report any maintenance needs.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in inventory management or a similar role, preferably in the defense or aerospace industry.
• Proficient in using ERP systems and inventory management software.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed.
• Familiarity with AS9100D standards related to inventory management is an Added advantage
