Job Purpose
The role will be part of ASSOCHAM’s Energy & Infrastructure vertical, driving policy advocacy, sectoral projects, and strategic partnerships across power, renewables, green hydrogen, transmission, highways, tunnelling, and civil aviation. It will focus on addressing sectoral challenges, promoting sustainable growth, and enhancing ASSOCHAM’s thought leadership, membership, and revenue impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate strategies for revenue generation through sponsorships, projects, and memberships.
- Act as a bridge between industry stakeholders and government/regulators, engaging with ministries such as MoP, MNRE, MoRTH, MoCA, NHAI, NHIDCL, BRO, DGCA, and AAI.
- Draft and submit policy representations, industry position papers, and consultation responses.
- Facilitate dialogues, roundtables, and advisory committees on issues like power reforms, renewable integration, transmission bottlenecks, infrastructure investment, regulatory hurdles, safety, and innovation.
- Lead projects in energy and infrastructure (RE, Power, Hydro/PSP, Green Hydrogen, Highways, Bridges and Tunnelling) with consulting firms and knowledge partners.
- Develop research reports, advocacy notes, surveys, case studies, and policy compendiums.
- Conceptualize and execute conferences, summits, seminars, and CEO roundtables on energy transition, civil aviation, highways, and tunnelling.
- Represent ASSOCHAM in national and international forums and build networks with corporates, PSUs, regulators, and multilateral agencies.
- Drive membership growth by converting non-members into Council members.
- Contribute to annual business plans, budgets, and long-term growth strategies.
Education and Experience
- B.Tech/B.Engg graduate or MBA in Marketing/Strategy/Power Management preferred.
- Equivalent qualifications in Economics, Policy, or Infrastructure Management may be considered.
- 12–15 years of experience in policy advocacy, consulting, or research-driven organizations.
- Strong exposure to energy (power, renewable, hydro/PSP, green hydrogen, transmission, distribution) and infrastructure (civil aviation, highways, tunnelling).
- Proven track record in policy advocacy, project leadership, event management, and revenue generation.

- Virtual Meeting Platforms (Zoom, MS Teams, Google Meet) for webinars, meetings, and online events.
- Online Research Skills to gather industry data, track policy updates, and prepare briefing notes.
