Job Description

Position Title - Deputy Director/ Joint Director Location- Delhi Purpose of the Job The Officer will be responsible for engaging with government bodies and policymakers to industry in order to address industry challenges and foster growth within energy sector. Key Responsibilities Policy Advocacy and Engagement Engage with government bodies (MoP, MNRE, CEA, CERC, State Regulators etc.) and provide industry inputs for policy decisions (Please mention experience if any) Facilitate Government – Industry interactions to address sectoral challenges Project Coordination and Management Coordinate Funded Energy (Power segment) related projects across departments, industry members and consulting/ knowledge partners and facilitate development of energy related sectoral study reports that will support sustainable energy practices. Event Management and Networking Plan, coordinate, and participate in seminars, conferences, and industry events to provide a platform for networking, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration among industry stakeholders. Analyze and identify non-members from the Energy Sector and approach them for membership. Revenue Generation Manage revenue generation to support council activities. Required Qualifications and Core Competencies Educational Qualifications Preferably an Engineer / MBA in Marketing Experience Minimum Experience: 12 -15 years of experience in policy, consulting, or research-oriented roles. Relevant Experience: Proven track record of working with government bodies ( Power Segment incl RE, Green Hydrogen, Thermal, Transmission, Distribution ), regulatory agencies, and policymakers. Sector Knowledge: Strong understanding of the energy, including its sub-sectors. Skills & Competencies Technical Skills Policy Analysis: Expertise in analyzing Government policy drafts and industry submissions Communication: Proficiency in written and verbal communication. Communication & Advocacy Public Speaking: Strong public speaking skills and experience representing organizations at high-profile meetings and events. Networking: Ability to network effectively with diverse stakeholders. Personal Attributes Innovative Thinker: Self-motivated and disciplined professional with a strong sense of ethical standards.
