Java development lead is responsible for the overall planning, execution and success of complex software solutions. Provides technical guidance and mentoring to his team member and is responsible for their success. The Tech Lead will collaborate with technical leadership to translate business requirements into technical solutions that align with product roadmap, business goals, and technology strategy– Lead will be fully accountable for delivery and hands-on —from design and development through to production deployment.Position Responsibilities:Help other team members by taking part in regular code reviews and share your work through activities such as reviews, pairingDefines and reviews the backlog together with the team, through planning and estimation activities.Development of new features, enhancements, fixes and optimization.Work with other team members to ensure the best possible performance, and quality and improve these qualities over time.Partner with the Product Management team to review and triage customer-reported incidents.Taking data-driven decisions as part of day-to-day activity.Author, review, and approve code contributions.Operate as a trusted advisor to influence and lead on software design standards and processes.Collaborate with technical and architectural leadership across teams and programs to ensure the team strategy is in line with the company strategy.Operate as an innovative thought leader; contribute significantly to the overall growth and quality of programs and teams through knowledge sharing and coaching on the current best practices and market trends within the industry.Job ResponsibilitiesJob Requirements:7+ years of practical experience in software engineering in a commercial setting, experience in integrationExcellent core Java programming skills including multi-threadingIn-depth experience of using and detailed knowledge about the Spring framework (6+ years)Experience in data access, server-side integrations, extensions, and building RESTful APIsKnowledge of automated unit testing, acceptance testing and TDD approachSoftware engineering experience including source code management (SCM), refactoring, continuous integration and build processesExperience with continuous software deliveryUnderstanding of mastery with build environments and delivery pipelinesA strong knowledge of design patterns, principles and clean coding techniques with the ability to make practical choices based on that knowledgeUnderstanding of one or more relational databasesComfortable working in agile teamsFull stack mindset – open to learning both back-end and front-end technologies as part of the various development tasks you will be performingExperience in cloud application development and deployments, e.g. AWS or operational experienceExcellent written and oral communication skillsAble to thrive in a fast-paced environmentExcellent attention to detailDriven to learn and stay current professionally; stays up to date on the newest technologies and toolsMentor, coach, train, and provide feedback to other team members; provide feedback to leadership on the technical abilities of teamStrong ability to establish rapport and gain the trust of others; effective at gaining consensusExecutive-level leadership and business acumen skills capable of engaging with leadership levels.Excellent interpersonal skills; able to maintain solid rapport with team members as well as maintain professionalism with those outside of departmentExcellent data-gathering, interviewing, and analytical/problem-solving skillsExcellent critical thinking and problem-solving skillsExcellent ability to establish rapport and gain the trust of others; effective at gaining consensusExcellent collaboration skills, applied successfully within team as well as with all levels of employees in other areasPassionate, competitive and intellectually curiousExcellent ability to make decisions in timely mannerCourage and the ability to take ownershipExcellent ability to develop and using original thinking to translate business goals and functional requirements into the implementation of new ideas and design solutionsExcellent ability to develop and use engaging, informative and compelling presentation methodologiesExcellent ability to work effectively with external partners and customersAbility to coach, mentor and provide feedback to team members on timeSharp, fast learner with technology curiosity and aptitudeDriven to learn and stay current professionallyJob responsibilitiesLead Java Developer with retail domain experienceWhat we offerCulture of caring.
