About The Opportunity

A recruitment & staffing firm serving enterprise software and technology companies across India is hiring an on-site Java Developer for one of its product/service clients. This role is ideal for hands-on backend engineers who build scalable, resilient services and enjoy collaborating directly with cross-functional teams in an on-site environment.Role & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot to meet product requirements and SLAs.
• Implement data persistence layers with Hibernate/JPA and optimise SQL queries for reliability and performance.
• Build and maintain microservices-based components, handle API versioning, and ensure secure inter-service communication.
• Write unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and enforce coding standards to improve code quality and maintainability.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps to deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot production systems.
• Work closely with product managers, QA, and designers to translate requirements into producible features and deliver on tight timelines.
  

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• Proven expertise in Java and Spring Boot for building production-grade backend systems.
• Hands-on experience with Hibernate/JPA and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with version control and build tools: Git, Maven or Gradle.
• Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent and relevant professional Java development experience.
• 5+ years of Java Developer in Agile Scrum
• Strong Core Java, Spring, Rest Services (Essential)
• Oracle PLSQL (Essential)

• Kenan Billing knowledge (Essentia)
  

Preferred

• Containerization and orchestration experience (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with cloud platforms and services (AWS preferred: EC2, RDS, EKS) and CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with application performance tuning and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
