Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Backend Java Developer to join our fintech product engineering team. You will play a critical role in building secure, scalable, and high-performance backend systems that power our financial services platform. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services and APIs using Java (preferably Java 17+), with a focus on financial transaction processing, data integrity, and security.
• Build microservices architecture to support modular and scalable fintech applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, compliance, and security to deliver robust financial solutions.
• Implement and maintain integrations with payment gateways, banking APIs, and third-party financial services.
• Optimize performance for high-throughput and low-latency transaction systems.
• Conduct code reviews, write unit and integration tests, and maintain high code quality standards.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, ensuring uptime and reliability.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical leadership within the team.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of backend development experience using Java.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JPA.
• Solid understanding of microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with financial systems, payment processing, or banking integrations.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficient in relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Knowledge of security best practices in fintech (encryption, authentication, authorization).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) for real-time data processing.
• Exposure to distributed systems and high-availability architectures.
• Contributions to fintech open-source projects.
