About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Japanese Cuisine Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate should have expertise in authentic Japanese cooking techniques and be capable of delivering exceptional flavor, presentation, and consistency across all dishes.

You will play a key role in menu development, quality control, and kitchen leadership, ensuring that every plate reflects the true essence of Japanese gastronomy.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute high-quality Japanese dishes, including:

• Sushi, Sashimi, Nigiri, Maki

• Tempura, Teriyaki, Yakitori, Donburi, Ramen (as per menu style)

• Omakase / Kaiseki / Teppanyaki (optional depending on concept)

• Design seasonal menus and contribute to new dish development.

• Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation.

• Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards (FSSAI / HACCP compliance).

• Oversee kitchen inventory and ensure sourcing of fresh, premium ingredients.

• Train and supervise junior chefs and kitchen assistants.

• Coordinate with management and service teams to ensure seamless guest experience.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in Japanese cuisine (restaurant or hotel environment).

• Strong knife skills, seafood handling, and knowledge of traditional and modern Japanese techniques.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality control.

• Menu engineering and costing knowledge is a plus.

• Team player with leadership and communication skills.

• Culinary certification preferred but not mandatory if skill is exceptional.
