Job Description

  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and expand market share. This includes setting sales targets and performance goals for the team.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate the sales team to ensure high performance and productivity. They conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to improve sales skills.
  • Business Development and Client Management: Identify and pursue new business opportunities while building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Market Analysis and Forecasting: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to make data-driven decisions and prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports for senior management.
  • Sales Process Oversight: Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification to negotiation and closing deals, often handling escalated client objections and complex contract negotiations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, product development, and operations, to align sales strategies with broader business goals and ensure seamless delivery and support.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven experience in sales (typically 3+ years in a leadership role), preferably within the IT industry, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Technical Acumen: A strong foundational understanding of information technology, including hardware, software, networking, and cloud-based solutions, to effectively communicate value propositions to clients.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills to inspire and guide a diverse team.
  • Communication & Negotiation: Strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation abilities, and advanced negotiation techniques are essential for engaging clients and closing high-value deals.
  • Analytical Thinking: The ability to analyze sales data, track KPIs, and interpret market trends to optimize strategies.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field is typically required, with an MBA often preferred for senior roles.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity and proficiency with CRM software (like Salesforce or HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite for tracking activities and reporting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,085.19 - ₹81,249.13 per month
