Job Description

IT Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to increase market share and drive business growth within the IT domain.

• Create sales goals and execute initiatives to achieve them.

• Monitor and ensure the sales team follows up on leads and potential customers effectively.

• Provide training, coaching, and professional development to enhance team performance.

  • Assist sales team members in building strong, long-term relationships with customers.

Business Development & Client Engagement

  • Identify, prospect, and generate new business opportunities within the IT sector.
  • Conduct and support product demonstrations, presentations, and client consultations.
  • Understand client requirements and recommend appropriate IT solutions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key clients and handle escalated objections or concerns.

Sales Operations & Execution

• Manage the complete sales cycle: lead generation, qualification, proposals, negotiations, and deal closure.

• Collaborate with internal teams (product, technical, marketing, finance, support) to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction.

• Prepare sales forecasts, generate reports, and maintain accurate CRM entries.

• Track sales pipeline activities and provide data-driven insights for decision-making.

• Achieve monthly/quarterly revenue targets and performance KPIs.

Market & Industry Awareness

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, competitor activities, and technological developments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in IT sales with at least

    3 years in a sales supervisory or managerial role

    .
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent understanding of IT products, solutions, and customer needs.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and sales reporting.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a high-performing sales team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing enterprise accounts.
  • Background in selling IT solutions such as software products, hardware, digital services, cloud solutions, or technology platforms.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate data and make strategic sales decisions.
