IT Executive

An IT executive in a school is responsible for managing and maintaining the school's technology, which includes providing technical support to students and staff, ensuring network and hardware are reliable, and overseeing data security. They also handle tasks like user account management, hardware installation and maintenance, and software troubleshooting. Key responsibilities

• Technical support: Provide technical assistance and resolve issues for staff and students regarding hardware, software, and network connectivity.
• Infrastructure management: Ensure the reliability and functionality of the school's IT infrastructure, including servers, computers, and networking equipment.
• User account and access: Set up user accounts, manage passwords, and handle permissions for school systems.
• Hardware and software: Install, configure, and maintain computers, peripherals like printers, and various software applications.
• Data security: Implement and enforce security measures to protect the school's data from threats and ensure compliance with privacy policies.
• System maintenance: Perform regular maintenance, such as hardware refreshes, software updates, and system clean-up, often scheduled during school breaks.

Required skills and qualifications

• A diploma or degree in IT or a related field is often preferred, along with equivalent work experience.
• Strong technical skills in areas like networking, hardware, and software are essential.
• Good communication and customer service skills are important for assisting a diverse range of users.
