Job Description

Your ImpactThe IT Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust Windows and Linux infrastructure within Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role focuses on implementing cloud best practices, automation, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our cloud environment to support business operations.

What You'll Do

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available Windows and Linux-based infrastructure in AWS.
  • Automation and Infrastructure as Code: Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment using Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., AWS CloudFormation, Terraform).
  • Monitoring and Performance Management: Develop and maintain robust monitoring solutions for AWS infrastructure and applications, including APM (Application Performance Monitoring) and comprehensive infrastructure monitoring.
  • Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Implement and test disaster recovery strategies and solutions to ensure business continuity.
  • Collaboration & Optimization: Collaborate with Engineering and IT teams to manage and optimize AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, etc.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance standards within the AWS environment.
  • On-Call & Support: Participate in on-call rotation for critical incidents and provide timely resolution.
  • Documentation & Continuous Improvement: Document infrastructure, configurations, and procedures. Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services, features, and industry trends.

Who You Are

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience building and managing Windows and Linux infrastructure in AWS.
  • Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., AWS CloudFormation, Terraform).
  • Solid understanding of AWS core services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Route 53, CloudWatch, etc.).
  • Experience with Infrastructure and Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools (e.g., Datadog, New Relic, ELK).
  • Strong experience with infrastructure monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, Zabbix).
  • Demonstrable experience designing, implementing, and testing disaster recovery strategies in AWS.

  • Excellent problem diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution abilities.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate/Professional, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and security best practices in the cloud.
  • Experience with database administration (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) in an AWS context.
  • Attention to detail with commitment to documentation and compliance.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle competing priorities.
