IT Audit & User Access Analyst,
who will be remotely based in
India
will play a central role in upholding the integrity and security of our technology backbone making sure that our back-office systems are robust, compliant, and reliable.
How are you creating an impact?
The
IT Audit & User Access Analyst
plays a key role in ensuring the integrity, security, and compliance of McGraw Hill’s back-office IT systems and infrastructure. This role partners closely with Internal Audit, External Auditors, and cross-functional IT teams to strengthen IT controls, assess risks, and ensure adherence to audit standards and best practices. Responsibilities include supporting the planning and execution of IT audits, analyzing data, documenting findings, and maintaining user access compliance in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
What will you be doing?
- Develop and implement audit plans, methodologies, and procedures; conduct thorough audits of IT systems, applications, and infrastructure to assess control effectiveness, efficiency, risks, and compliance; and perform follow-up reviews to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Evaluate and document IT controls, review and analyze IT processes and policies to identify improvement areas, and prepare detailed audit reports summarizing findings, conclusions, and actionable recommendations.
- Administer and monitor user accounts and permissions across various applications, review and approve access requests in line with security policies, conduct regular user access review audits, and maintain comprehensive access management documentation.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risks; conduct audit trail reviews for administered applications; and proactively identify opportunities for process automation within job responsibilities.
- Partner with IT teams, internal and external auditors, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand systems and controls; conduct employee training sessions on access policies; and stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in IT audit and access management
We are looking for someone with
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years overall experience in IT audit, access management, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of IT audit frameworks such as COBIT, SOX, ITAF, PCAOB, SOC-1, and SOC-2, along with knowledge of IT systems, networks, and security principles.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, large-scale enterprise IT applications, PL/SQL, ACF2 & TSO, Microsoft Excel (including basic functions and VLOOKUP), Oracle Fusion, and eBusiness Suite Applications (SaaS preferred)
