IT Asset Manager

As an IT Asset Manager at GSPANN, you will be responsible for managing hardware and software asset lifecycles, ensuring compliance, and optimizing costs. Your expertise in Hardware Asset Management (HAM) & Software Asset Management (SAM), as well as IT Asset Management (ITAM) and CMDB management, will be crucial for this role. **Role Overview:** You will define and enforce IT Asset Management policies, standards, and procedures. Additionally, you will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of hardware and software assets, including procurement, deployment, refresh, retirement, and disposal. It will be your responsibility to maintain an accurate asset repository and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) with integrations to discovery tools and finance systems. **Key Responsibilities:** - Track and manage hardware assets such as servers, endpoints, network devices, and mobile devices, ensuring warranty and contract renewals. - Oversee secure decommissioning and perform data sanitization for retired assets. - Manage software licenses by handling allocation, renewals, vendor audits, and compliance requirements. - Optimize license entitlements and reclaim unused licenses to reduce costs. - Partner with Procurement for vendor negotiations and with Finance for cost allocation, budgeting, and depreciation tracking. - Support audits and compliance mandates with accurate reporting and documentation. - Deliver dashboards and reports on asset utilization, compliance status, and cost savings opportunities. - Identify and implement automation opportunities in asset tracking, reporting, and license management. - Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive accountability across teams. **Qualifications Required:** - 7-10 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years focused on IT Asset Management (HAM and SAM). - Proven expertise in ITAM across medium and large enterprises. - Strong knowledge of CMDB management, ITSM processes, and ITAM tools such as ServiceNow, Flexera, Snow, or Ivanti. - Demonstrated ability in procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiations. - Understanding of financial alignment, including budgeting, cost allocation, and depreciation tracking. - Familiarity with IT security, data protection, and regulatory compliance standards. - Strong analytical and reporting capabilities with hands-on experience in dashboards and scorecards. - Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration skills. - Preferred certifications: ITIL, IT Asset Management Certified Professional (CAMP/CSAM). - Hands-on experience implementing and managing ITAM processes, tools, and governance frameworks. - Experience collaborating with Procurement, Finance, Security, and IT Operations teams. - Prior involvement in IT audits, compliance checks, and large-scale asset lifecycle management projects.,
