IP/MPLS Network lead

Key Responsibilities:

1. Network Changes & Configuration:

• Perform routine to complex network changes like:
• Adding or replacing devices
• Upgrading IOS/software
• Creating and executing Method of Procedures (MOPs)
• Work mainly on Cisco NCS/XR and Nexus platforms

2. Fault Management:

• Troubleshoot and fix issues in:
• Mobile IP Backhaul
• Fronthaul and Midhaul networks
• Analyze problems and recommend preventive or corrective actions

3. Traffic Management & Performance:

• Reroute network traffic to maintain service during failures
• Investigate and resolve mobile throughput and performance issues

4. Coordination & RCA:

• Work closely with Planning, Engineering, NOC, and Field teams
• Coordinate with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) support teams (TAC) to find root cause and apply permanent fixes

Mandatory Skills :

1. Strong IP/MPLS Networking Knowledge

• Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, IS-IS)
• MPLS L2/L3 VPNs

1. Hands-on Experience with Cisco Platforms

• Cisco

  NCS

  (XR-based)
• Cisco

  Nexus

  (NX-OS)

1. IOS-XR and NX-OS Configuration & Troubleshooting

• Software upgrades
• Device integration & replacement

1. Fault & Performance Management

• IP Backhaul, Fronthaul, Midhaul troubleshooting
• Mobile throughput analysis and resolution

1. Traffic Engineering & Rerouting

• Reroute traffic to restore services during failures
• Capacity and performance optimization

1. Change Management & MOP Execution

• Creation and execution of Method of Procedure (MOP)
• Risk assessment and rollback planning

1. Coordination & RCA

• Work with NOC, Field Teams, and Engineering
• Interact with OEM TAC for RCA and fixes
