Investment Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

• Startup Analysis:

• Conduct in-depth research and due diligence on early-stage startups across various sectors, evaluating their business models, market potential, competitive landscape, and financial projections.
• Perform rigorous financial analysis, including valuation, cap table analysis, and scenario modeling.
• Prepare comprehensive investment memos, pitch decks, and executive summaries to present to the CEO and potential investors.

• Investor Relations & Management:

• Actively manage and nurture relationships with assigned investors, ensuring timely communication and responsiveness to their queries.
• Facilitate investor onboarding and assist with investment documentation.
• Help strategize and execute investor engagement plans, including targeted outreach and follow-ups.

• CEO Support & Travel:

• Work closely with the CEO, providing robust analytical and logistical support for investor meetings, roadshows, and other business development activities.
• Prepare detailed briefs and materials for the CEO's engagements.
• Accompany the CEO on domestic and international travel for meetings with investors and startups, participating actively in discussions and representing BizDateUp.
• Capture key insights and follow-up actions from meetings.

• Market Intelligence:

• Stay abreast of industry trends, investment landscape shifts, and competitive activities within the startup ecosystem.
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and market insights.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field. Master's degree (MBA) or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA Level I, II) are a strong plus.

• 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or a similar analytical role focusing on startups or unlisted companies.

• Proven ability to conduct thorough financial analysis and due diligence.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly and concisely.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling and presentation tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint).

• Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor, comfortable interacting with high-net-worth individuals and senior executives.

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Willingness and ability to travel extensively with the CEO.

• A genuine passion for the startup ecosystem and a deep understanding of various business models.
• Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
