Inventory Executive – Job DescriptionPosition: Inventory Executive Department: Supply Chain / Stores / Warehouse Location: [Add Location] Reporting to: Inventory Manager / Warehouse Manager / Supply Chain Head Job SummaryThe Inventory Executive is responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels, ensuring timely replenishment, monitoring inventory movements, and supporting overall warehouse operations. The role ensures that inventory records are updated, discrepancies are resolved, and materials are available to meet operational needs. Key Responsibilities1. Inventory ManagementMaintain and update daily stock records in ERP/software (SAP, Tally, Oracle, Zoho, etc.). Monitor stock levels and initiate purchase requisitions to avoid shortages. Perform regular stock audits (daily/weekly/monthly). Track material movement including inward, outward, and returns. Ensure proper storage, labeling, and identification of materials. 2. Stock ReconciliationConduct physical stock verification and reconcile with system records. Investigate and resolve stock mismatches or variances. Prepare stock adjustment reports and coordinate approval from management. 3. Documentation & ReportingPrepare GRN (Goods Receipt Note), delivery challans, stock reports, and inventory statements. Generate MIS reports such as slow-moving, non-moving, and fast-moving stock. Maintain accurate records of stock transfers and consumption. 4. CoordinationCoordinate with procurement, production, sales, and logistics teams for smooth inventory flow. Follow up with vendors for timely delivery and documentation support. Liaise with internal teams to forecast material requirements. 5. Compliance & Process ImprovementEnsure adherence to SOPs, safety guidelines, and audit requirements. Identify areas for inventory process improvement and suggest enhancements. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment. Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of inventory management and stock control. Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management software/ERP. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and coordination abilities. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Basic understanding of supply chain and warehouse operations.
