About Us


At Watt Wave, we are committed to transforming the way electric vehicles, drones, and robots charge through innovative Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) technology. Our goal is to design and develop fully autonomous wireless charging systems capable of seamless power transfer in both static and dynamic conditions, eliminating the need for any physical connection between the power source and the device – enabling true automation in mobility and robotics.


We are seeking interns and entry-level engineers with a strong interest in power systems and control systems, especially those passionate about wireless power transfer (WPT) and wireless charging technologies. Rather than focusing solely on academic grades, we value hands-on experience, creativity, and problem-solving skills.


Candidates with experience or willing to work with power converters, inverter design, resonant circuits, control algorithms (PI/PID), microcontroller-based control, or system simulation (MATLAB/Simulink, PSIM, LTspice) will be preferred. Practical exposure through projects related to robotics, automation, or wireless power systems will be a strong advantage.


Responsibilities


  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of power electronic converters (DC-DC, DC-AC, and resonant inverters).
  • Support the design and optimization of wireless charging (WPT) systems for EVs, drones, and robots.
  • Work on control system development, including implementation of PI/PID control algorithms for voltage and current regulation.
  • Conduct simulation and analysis using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, LTspice, or PSIM.
  • Help in hardware prototyping, circuit debugging, and PCB testing.
  • Collaborate with the R&D team to improve system efficiency and performance.
  • Perform data acquisition, validation, and documentation of test results.
  • Contribute ideas for innovation, automation, and optimization of power transfer systems.


Requirements


  • Pursuing or recently completed a B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of power electronics fundamentals—converters, inverters, and gate driver circuits.
  • Basic knowledge of control systems and feedback control (PI/PID).
  • Familiarity with simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, LTspice, or PSIM.
  • Experience with microcontrollers (Arduino, STM32, DSP, or TI controllers) for control implementation.
  • Interest or prior experience in Wireless Power Transfer (WPT), inductive charging, or resonant circuits is a plus.
  • Hands-on skills in circuit building, prototyping, or testing preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation abilities.
  • Enthusiasm to learn and contribute in a fast-paced R&D environment.
