Internship: Interior Designer & Architect Location: Hyderabad Employment Type: Full-time Portfolio Required: Yes (PDF or online link) Job Summary We are looking for a highly skilled and creative Interior Designer & Architect to join our growing team. This role involves conceptualizing, designing, and overseeing the execution of architectural and interior design projects. The ideal candidate will be proficient in design software, have excellent drafting and visualization skills, and possess a keen sense of aesthetics, functionality, and structural integrity. Key Responsibilities/ Learnings: Conceptual Design & Development Collaborate with clients to understand their preferences, lifestyle, and project requirements. Develop innovative design concepts, mood boards, and preliminary sketches. Conduct site visits, surveys, and spatial analyses to inform design direction. Software Proficiency needed AutoCAD (mandatory for 2D drafting) Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word for documentation and presentations) Material Selection & Specification Select and specify materials, finishes, lighting, and furnishings aligned with project goals, sustainability, and budget. Stay current with design trends, materials, and technologies. Project Coordination & Management Liaise with contractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure the faithful execution of design intent. Review shop drawings and material submittals. Assist with budgeting, scheduling, and quality checks. Conduct on-site inspections during execution to monitor progress and ensure quality. Client Communication Present design concepts and ideas clearly to clients and stakeholders. Maintain strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle and incorporate client feedback effectively. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field. Relevant experience in architecture and interior design (preferably in a studio or consultancy environment). Mandatory: Strong, diverse portfolio demonstrating creativity, technical proficiency, and attention to detail. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and optionally 3D Max. Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects independently and as part of a collaborative team.
