Job Title: Executive - International Sales Africa

Role Overview:

Assistant International Sales Manager – Africa

Key Responsibilities:

Market Development & Expansion

  • Identify and onboard new distributors, importers, and channel partners in key African markets.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify new product opportunities and untapped regions.
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies tailored to local market dynamics.

Distributor & Channel Management

  • Manage and support a network of distributors across countries in Africa.
  • Monitor distributor performance through KPIs (sales, coverage, stock movement).
  • Ensure availability and visibility of products across retail and wholesale trade.

Retail, Wholesale & Modern Trade Execution

  • Work closely with distributors and their sales teams to drive secondary sales.
  • Plan and execute retail and in-store promotions in collaboration with marketing.
  • Build and manage partnerships with key accounts in modern trade and organized retail chains.

Sales Operations & Coordination

  • Forecast sales and inventory requirements by market.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (production, logistics, packaging, compliance) to ensure timely execution of export orders.
  • Provide market feedback to product development and marketing teams.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare periodic sales and performance reports by region and channel.
  • Track competitor activities and pricing strategies in key markets.
  • Analyze trends to support data-driven decision-making.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience

    in FMCG sales, international business, or export management.
  • Preferred: Experience in African markets

    or proven understanding of business practices in Africa.
  • Exposure to

    all sales channels

    : general trade, modern trade, and wholesale distribution.
  • Strong business development, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of French or local African languages is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as per business requirements.

Preferred Background:

  • Worked in an Indian FMCG/Personal Care/Beauty Care company with export focus.
  • Familiar with end-to-end export documentation, pricing, and regulatory compliance for African countries.
  • Hands-on experience in driving secondary sales and product launches overseas.
