Engineering Manager

Position Summary

Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall Engineering function, including preventive maintenance, utilities, project management, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure availability and reliability of plant machinery (manufacturing, filling, & packing), HVAC, water systems, boilers, compressors, and other utility equipment.
• Drive preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance programs to ensure minimal downtime.
• Ensure engineering operations comply with GMP, safety, environmental, and other regulatory requirements.
• Lead the design, installation, and commissioning of new equipment or plant expansion projects.
• Work closely with Production, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless operations.
• Develop and manage engineering budgets, CAPEX, and maintenance costs.
• Lead a team of engineers, technicians, and maintenance personnel; ensure continuous training and skill development.
• Implement energy conservation initiatives and ensure optimal utility consumption.
• Maintain documentation as per GMP and regulatory audit requirements.
• Liaise with external vendors, contractors, and government bodies as required.

Key Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 12+ years of relevant experience in engineering/maintenance in a GMP-compliant manufacturing setup.
• Prior experience in cosmetic, personal care, pharmaceutical, or FMCG industry is

• Proven experience in managing utilities such as HVAC, RO/DM water systems, steam boilers, ETP/STP, air compressors, etc.
• Hands-on experience with regulatory inspections (FDA, GMP, ISO audits).
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and project management abilities.
• Working knowledge of EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to ISO standards, Six Sigma, or TPM methodologies.
