Role Overview: As an experienced engineering manager, you will be responsible for driving the technical execution of projects, providing effective leadership, ensuring compliance with standards, and supporting various departments. Your role will require hands-on expertise in technical leadership, project management, team oversight, and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and mentor the technical team in design, development, and implementation of solutions. - Oversee the adoption of new technologies, best practices, and innovative solutions to meet project requirements. - Plan, execute, and monitor technical projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards. - Manage project resources, timelines, and risks while communicating progress to stakeholders. - Provide clear direction and coaching to team members, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment. - Ensure technical accuracy, code quality, and adherence to architectural principles through regular reviews and guidance. - Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for projects and processes. - Ensure all projects comply with internal standards, industry best practices, and legal or regulatory requirements. - Collaborate with Business Development (BD) to provide technical insights and support during client engagements, proposals, and solution design. - Assist HR in the recruitment, training, and performance evaluations of technical staff, ensuring alignment with the organization's objectives. Qualifications Required: - Hands-on experience in both frontend and backend development, with proficiency in PHP, Python, and Next.js. - Practical experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS. (Experience with Azure/GCP is a plus.) - In-depth understanding of the mobile application development lifecycle for both Android and iOS, using native and hybrid technologies. - Proficient in leveraging AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT to boost productivity and enhance code quality. - Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and managing production environments. - Deep understanding of scalable, maintainable, and secure system architecture design. - Proven experience in managing live products or platforms with 10,000+ active users. - Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor cross-functional engineering teams in dynamic project environments. - Track record of leading end-to-end product development from prototyping to large-scale deployment. - Capable of upskilling teams quickly on emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices. - Well-versed in Agile/Scrum methodologies, including sprint planning and iterative delivery. - Strong emphasis on coding standards, code review processes, and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation. - Knowledge of secure coding practices, data privacy compliance, and basic application security principles. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels. - Meticulous approach to problem-solving and quality assurance in engineering deliverables.
