Position Summary:

Responsible for leading design efforts and team, including design direction & client management.

• Computational Design: Dynamo, Grasshopper, eleFront

• Building Performance Simulation: Insight, Sefaira, Diva, Ladybug Tools

• Visualization: Vray, Enscape, Twinmotion, 3DSMax, Lumion

• Graphics & Productivity: Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite

• Experiential & Development: Unreal Engine, Unity, C#, Python


Essential Job Functions



DESIGN

  • Responsible for client contact and communicating goals and responsibilities to project team.
  • Takes initiative on strategic issues including design direction and providing quality management.
  • Develops and coordinates detailed design concepts with ability to develop functional requirements and project-design criteria.
  • Demonstrates understanding of the architectural design process and integration of design concepts/ with ability develop design element components in BIM.
  • Coordinates integration of engineering systems into the overall project design in BIM.
  • Responds to technical implications of design decisions.
  • Promotes firm and project goals of excellence in design, execution and sustainability.


TECHNICAL

  • Implements code, accessibility, and zoning analyses.
  • Assists with design and technical coordination among disciplines (architecture, engineering, etc. )
  • Performs tasks according to the company Project Procedures Manual.


MANAGEMENT


  • Facilitates program development with project team.
  • Responsible for project design budget and cost control.
  • Prepares design presentations, assuming design lead in client and owner presentations.
  • Oversees multiple project workloads, delegate tasks effectively, prioritize schedules.
  • Directs, organizes, and mentors junior staff.
  • Maintain and organize project files, schedules, and workflows.
  • Contribute to team-building and continuous development strategies of the Interior unit.
  • Essential Job Requirements:


EDUCATION

Professional Degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or related discipline


EXPERIENCE

  • 2 to 15 years with focus on BIM projects.
  • Strong design & development portfolio
  • Advanced experience in all phases and aspects of a project including programming and planning.
  • Strong competency in interior design specifications, calculations and industry standards, construction techniques and application of international building codes.
  • Strong graphic, 3D visualization and modelling skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates collaborative and professional work ethic
  • LEED accreditation is a plus.
  • PMDP is a plus


TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of Autodesk

    Revit

    for design authoring, documentation, and project delivery.
  • Knowledge of collaboration within BIM, including cloud-based markups, MEP/consultant coordination, and clash detection.
  • Familiarity with real-time rendering, material creation, and management in BIM and parametric workflows
  • Understanding real-time visualization development within the context of BIM, trade/ consultant coordination and clash detection.
  • Knowledge of strategic planning and BIM project setup.
  • Knowledge of walkthroughs, panoramas, and design reviews is a plus.
  • Familiarity with computational design applications such as Dynamo & Rhino is a plus.
