Job Description

As the Team Manager, your role will involve managing and motivating your team to ensure a positive working environment and team stability. You will review and recommend checks, balances, and reporting to ensure best-in-class governance. Setting up and monitoring team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will be crucial, along with building and managing relationships with internal teams such as finance, banking, tax, and reward. It will also be your responsibility to manage HRMC or Irish Revenue queries promptly and stay updated on existing and new legislation to ensure all processes comply with requirements. Advising management on necessary actions, managing Year-end and other statutory returns, conducting integrity checks on systems, and participating in projects for process improvement will be part of your daily tasks. Collaboration with team members for cross-training will also be essential. Your skills and capabilities should include significant experience in team management, defining and setting up new processes, results-oriented mindset, ability to manage multiple priorities, problem-solving skills, strong customer service focus, effective teamwork, numerical and advanced analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written), self-starter attitude, ability to work under pressure, prioritize work effectively, work on own initiative and tight deadlines, and maintain privacy and confidentiality. In terms of qualifications and experience, having detailed knowledge of UK legislation and ROI legislation is desirable for this role. Your success in this role will be measured by high team engagement and stability, established governance, controls, and reporting processes, strong internal relationships across various business functions, and timely and accurate responses to HMRC and Irish Revenue queries.
