Instructional Designer, Senior

The Senior Learning Designer drives the rapid development of high-quality learning assets to meet learners when and where needed, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This role requires excellence in producing technical educational content efficiently using templates and modern tools, including AI-powered technologies. The role requires strong informal leadership, exceptional project management skills, and a relentless focus on fast, scalable course construction.

This is a hybrid position based in the Infor Hyderabad office with no travel required.

Day in the Life

• Lead rapid construction of learning assets using standardized templates and course authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Rise, Storyline).
• Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery against tight deadlines and high-volume targets.
• Fully utilize AI-assisted tools to accelerate course production and maintain quality standards.
• Drive collaboration and communication with Subject Matter Experts, ensuring timely completion of deliverables to meet established deadlines.
• Foster team engagement through informal leadership, including mentoring peers, sharing best practices, and driving continuous improvements.
• Track and report project progress using Jira, proactively identifying risks and implementing solutions.
• Ensure all content meets internal standards and quality benchmarks through rigorous review and feedback.
• Adapt quickly to evolving tools and methodologies, continuously enhancing skills to support rapid development needs.

Required Skills

• Mastery of English (spoken and written), with proficiency validated by a standard written exam.

• Extensive experience in instructional design, emphasizing rapid course development.

• Advanced proficiency with course authoring tools, especially Articulate Rise and Storyline.
• Experience with course development templates and AI-powered content creation tools, such as Microsoft Copilot and Articulate AI Assistant.
• Proven track record of success in technical software training content development.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects under aggressive timelines while maintaining quality.
• Commitment to meeting established development metrics with fast turnaround times while also driving toward aspirational targets.
• Strong informal leadership and mentoring skills demonstrated through experience leading complex projects or teams.
• Excellent time management, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to collaborate during US business hours within a global team.
• Must earn designated product certification within one year of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in high-volume, fast-paced instructional design environments.
• Expertise in integrating GenAI or AI-assisted tools for rapid course creation.
• Experience building AI agents that improve efficiency.
• Familiarity with video/audio development tools (e.g., Camtasia).
• Experience using Jira or similar project management tools for tracking and reporting.
