Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region for an Information Technology Assistant. The IT Assistant will be responsible for providing technical support, printer support, and troubleshooting various IT issues. Daily tasks include maintaining IT systems, addressing user technical concerns, and ensuring the smooth operation of technology hardware and software within the organization.


Job Summary:

The IT Executive will be responsible for the effective management of the organization’s IT systems and infrastructure. This includes troubleshooting hardware/software issues, managing IT assets, maintaining network security, supporting enterprise applications, and ensuring business continuity. The role requires strong technical expertise in systems administration, end-user support, and cybersecurity best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Hardware Management:

  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and mobile devices.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faulty hardware components (RAM, HDD, motherboard, SMPS, display units).
  • Manage inventory of IT hardware assets, including tagging, documentation, and lifecycle tracking.
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware AMC, warranty claims, and replacements.

2. Software & Application Support:

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot OS (Windows 10/11, Linux distributions).
  • Provide support for Microsoft 365 suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Administer and troubleshoot enterprise applications such as ERP (Tally, SAP, or other domain-specific tools).
  • Manage software licenses and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
  • Maintain and support antivirus and endpoint protection software.

3. Network Administration:

  • Monitor, configure, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi networks.
  • Manage routers, switches, firewalls, and access points (brands like Cisco, Ubiquiti, etc.).
  • IP address allocation, DHCP configuration, DNS setup, and subnetting knowledge.
  • Conduct routine checks to ensure high availability and low latency in network performance.

4. Server & Storage Management:

  • Manage on-premises or cloud servers (Windows Server, Linux Server, AWS).
  • User management using Active Directory, group policy management, and file sharing permissions.
  • Regular backup management and disaster recovery planning using cloud backups (OneDrive/Google Workspace).
  • Ensure storage systems (NAS/SAN) are up-to-date, secure, and monitored.

5. IT Security and Compliance:

  • Implement and monitor endpoint security, data loss prevention (DLP), and firewall rules.
  • Conduct periodic security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Ensure data encryption, secure access controls, and user activity monitoring.
  • Stay updated with IT compliance requirements such as ISO 27001 or GDPR.

6. Helpdesk and User Support:

  • Serve as first point of contact for all IT-related support requests.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Level 1 and Level 2 issues across hardware, software, and networks.
  • Maintain a ticketing system to log, track, and resolve issues.
  • Conduct training for employees on cybersecurity awareness and software usage.


Technical Skills Required:

  • Operating Systems:

     Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Linux.
  • Networking:

     TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, VPN, Routing & Switching.
  • Tools/Technologies:

     Active Directory, Group Policies, RDP, Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
  • Hardware:

     PC/Laptop internals, network devices, biometric systems, CCTV integration.
  • Backup & Recovery:

     Google Drive, OneDrive, cloud storage.
  • Security:

     Firewalls, Endpoint Protection, SSL, MFA.
  • Scripting (optional):

     Basic knowledge of PowerShell or Bash for automation tasks.


Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Industry certifications preferred: 

    CompTIA A+, Network+, MCSA, CCNA, ITIL

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 2–5 years in an IT Support / System Admin / Network Executive role.
  • Experience supporting 50–100 users in a corporate environment is preferred.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities effectively.
