Hyperion Planning & Budgeting Consultant

Key Responsibilities: Provide maintenance, development, and support for Hyperion Planning & Budgeting solutions, including Hyperion Essbase (BSO & ASO), FDMEE , DRM , and PCBS/EPCBS applications. Participate in requirements and design workshops to understand business processes and translate them into scalable Planning & Budgeting solutions. Support end users by offering technical guidance, best practices, and mentorship, enabling them to develop and refine their own planning and forecasting processes. Manage and enhance monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting, forecasting, and actuals load processes , ensuring data integrity and performance optimization. Lead testing activities for new enhancements, ensuring business requirements are met, and assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) . Identify opportunities for system enhancements , process improvements, and automation to support evolving financial planning and project costing needs . Triage and resolve user support issues , ensuring timely resolution and stakeholder satisfaction. Document business processes, technical solutions, system configurations, and support procedures in alignment with organizational standards. Collaborate with global business stakeholders , onshore/offshore teams , and technical teams to deliver seamless solutions. Drive best practices in PCBS/EPCBS , ensuring accurate cost allocations, revenue recognition, and project budgeting. Required Qualifications: 6–8 years of experience in Hyperion Planning & Budgeting systems (11.1.2.4 or higher), including Essbase (BSO & ASO) and FDMEE . 3+ years of development experience in Hyperion Planning and Essbase . 2+ years of production support experience for Planning & Budgeting applications . Strong expertise in PCBS/EPCBS processes, including project budgeting, forecasting, and cost control . Proven knowledge of Workforce Planning is a plus. Experience in DRM is desirable. Proficiency in jython and batch scripting within FDMEE . Experience in Essbase scripting (calc scripts, business rules, MDX). Strong understanding of Smart View for end-user reporting and analysis.
