About the Role

Hydrologist

Key Responsibilities

• ✅ Execute complex

  hydrological and hydraulic modeling

  using tools such as

  HEC-RAS, TuFLOW, and MIKE

  .
• 💧 Perform

  dam break simulations

  ,

  flood routing

  , update rule curves, and develop

  Emergency Action Plans (EAPs)

  .
• 🌧️ Design

  flood forecasting

  and

  early warning systems

  to mitigate water-related risks.
• 🧠 Develop

  Decision Support Systems (DSS)

  for strategic water resource and disaster response planning.
• 📑 Prepare technical reports, analysis documents, and stakeholder guidelines to meet deliverables and deadlines.
• 🌍 Implement strategies for

  sustainable water resources management

  , including conservation, pollution prevention, and optimal utilization.
• 🔎 Conduct

  water resource assessments

  across surface water, groundwater, and precipitation data.
• 🛠️ Lead hydrological project execution with strong planning, team coordination, and technical implementation.
• 📊 Collect and analyze

  meteorological, hydrological, and hydrogeological data

  ; deliver MIS reports and progress updates.

What We’re Looking For

• 🎓

  Education

  : B.Tech/M.Tech in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, Water Resources Engineering, or related fields.
• 📆

  Experience

  : 8–10 years in hydrological modeling, dam break analysis, flood forecasting, and water resource management.
• 🛠️

  Tools & Software

  : Strong proficiency in

  HEC-RAS, TuFLOW, MIKE

  ,

  ArcGIS

  , and modeling platforms. Bonus if experienced with

  remote sensing

  or

  machine learning

  for hydrology.
• 🧾

  Certifications

  : Professional hydrology/water resources certifications are an added advantage.
• 👥 Excellent
