We, NeoGeoInfo Technologies Limited, are hiring a Hydrologist for our project in Guwahati.
Qualifications and Experience:
• First Class Master’s in Geology, Earth/Environmental Science, or a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering
• 9–10 years of experience in hydrological assessment or flood risk management
• Knowledge of GIS (ArcGIS) and hydrological modelling software (HEC Suite)
Responsibilities:
• Oversee hydrological data collection and integration with the GIS team
• Gather and input field data into the GIS laboratory and SEOC/DEOC/CEOC
• Research and utilise global hydrological data/products
• Compile and present hydrological data from various sources
• Monitor data and prepare reports on hazards
• Collaborate with SEOC on flood management operations, available 24/7
• Prepare customised reports and Standard Operating Procedures
• Integrate hydrological, geological, and meteorological data into GIS
• Model and communicate the hydrogeology/hydrology of Assam
• Develop scenarios and provide hydrologic support for projects
