Let Me Tell You About The Role The Process Engineer is accountable for assuring unit performance and availability from cycle to cycle. They do this by acting as the primary interface with Operations to support routine, day-to-day asset operations activities such as troubleshooting, providing technical input for operating procedures, and supporting basic process control issues. Process Engineers regularly monitor the units for mass balance closure, catalyst performance, yields, and operation within chemical and physical integrity limits. Develop, maintain, and support existing LabVIEW applications. Cross functional discussions with project owners in defining the scope of experiments and timelines. Participate in new test station design / development projects and execute the project from concept to final product. Skills and Experience: Strong programming skills in NI LabVIEW, PLC and Python to develop and maintain automation code for system and custom test setup. Work with complex HW systems, that have different types of communication protocols such as RS232/RS485, Modbus, TCP/IP communication, UART, CAN. Reviewing and checking maintenance reports and drawings to ensure quality of output. Should be familiar with Instrument Selection - All types of field instruments, Exposure to selection of instruments and systems for Hazardous areas. Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic test equipment used in the automotive industry is highly desirable.
