Hydraulic Design Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated and technically skilled Hydraulic Control Valve Design Engineer with a strong background in mobile hydraulic systems. The engineer will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance hydraulic control valves used in agricultural, construction, mining, and material handling equipment. This position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, durability, and manufacturability of products.---

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop hydraulic control valves (e.g., monoblock valves, sectional valves, load-sensing valves, pilot-operated valves) tailored for mobile machinery.Interpret machine-level hydraulic requirements and translate them into valve specifications.Create and maintain 3D models and 2D engineering drawings using CAD software (Creo).Optimize flow paths and internal geometry for pressure drop, cavitation, and smooth operation.Select suitable materials, seals, surface treatments, and coatings for mobile environments.Collaborate with system engineers to integrate valves into mobile equipment hydraulic circuits.Conduct DFMEA and DVP&R to ensure product robustness and reliability.Develop test plans, assist in prototype building, and support validation testing under dynamic operating conditions.Support cost reduction, manufacturability, and continuous improvement initiatives.Interface with suppliers and internal production teams for design feasibility and production readiness.Assist application engineers and customers with customization or troubleshooting.---

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Fluid Power Engineering or related field.Minimum 3 years of experience in hydraulic control valve design, with a focus on mobile equipment.Strong knowledge of hydraulic circuit design, valve kinematics, flow dynamics, and load-holding functions.Proficient in CAD software Creo and engineering analysis tools.Familiarity with casting design, machining tolerances, and DFM/DFA principles.Hands-on experience with hydraulic test rigs and performance validation.Good understanding of ISO standards related to mobile hydraulics (e.g., ISO 4401, ISO 10770).Strong communication and documentation skills.---

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in electro-hydraulic or proportional control valves.Understanding of CAN-based control systems (e.g., ISOBUS, SAE J1939).Exposure to field testing of valves on mobile machinery.Familiarity with simulation tools like AMESim, MATLAB/Simulink, or CFD.---
