Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic HR Manager to lead human resources initiatives in our fast-paced FMCG environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving HR strategies, managing talent, ensuring compliance, HR master data governance, policy development, statutory compliance, employee relations, and audit preparedness and cultivating a high-performance culture aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Talent Acquisition & Management

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for sales, supply chain, marketing, and manufacturing functions.
  • Partner with department heads to forecast talent needs and plan hiring pipelines.
  • Drive employer branding strategies to attract top industry talent.

2. HR Master Data Management

  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality of employee data across HR systems.
  • Oversee data audits and system hygiene, ensuring alignment with organizational structures and reporting lines.
  • Manage integrations and updates in HRIS systems

3. Employee Engagement & Culture Building

  • Design and implement employee engagement programs tailored to a high-paced FMCG environment.
  • Champion initiatives that promote a positive, performance-driven culture.
  • Conduct regular feedback sessions and action planning based on engagement surveys.

4. Performance Management

  • Oversee the PMS cycle (goal setting, mid-year, and annual reviews).
  • Train managers on performance appraisal techniques and KPIs.
  • Identify and support high-potential employees for development and succession planning.

5. HR Policy Development & Implementation

  • Draft, review, and update HR policies in line with labor laws, corporate governance, and business needs.
  • Lead the communication and implementation of HR policies across all levels of the organization.
  • Train line managers and HRBPs on policy interpretation and enforcement.

6. Statutory Compliance & Regulatory Management

  • Ensure 100% compliance with all local, state, and central labor regulations (PF, ESI, Shops & Establishment, Factories Act, etc.).
  • Liaise with government bodies, legal consultants, and auditors for inspections and submissions.
  • Maintain accurate and updated records and compliance trackers.

7. Employee Relations & Workplace Governance

  • Act as a key point of contact for employee relations issues across functions and locations.
  • Manage grievance handling, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Foster a positive and compliant workplace culture through transparent communication and adherence to values.

8. Compliance & Industrial Relations

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and HR policies, especially for manufacturing plant operations.
  • Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and liaise with legal counsel when necessary.
  • Manage vendor relationships with third-party staffing and contract labor agencies.

9. HR Operations & Systems

  • Maintain and improve HRMIS systems for accurate data and reporting.
  • Oversee payroll coordination, attendance, leaves, and other HR administrative tasks.
  • Prepare monthly HR dashboards and reports for leadership review.

10. HR Strategy & Process Improvement

  • Partner with senior leadership to align HR strategy with business goals.
  • Lead projects related to HR process improvement, digitization, and standardization.
  • Analyze HR metrics and prepare strategic reports and dashboards for management.

11. Internal & External Audits

  • Lead preparation and coordination for

    HR-related audits

    (statutory, internal, ISO, customer audits, etc.).
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions based on audit findings.
  • Ensure documentation and process adherence to withstand regulatory scrutiny.
