HT Electrical Installation Manager – Solar Projects

Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated HT Electrical Installation Manager to lead the electrical installation phase of our solar energy projects, with a strong focus on high-voltage (HT) systems. This pivotal role involves managing on-site operations, leading technical teams, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solar installations on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities Project Management Supervise and coordinate HT electrical installation activities for solar projects from start to finish. Please ensure the project is delivered within the established timelines, scope, and budget. Monitor resource allocation, progress, and performance, proactively resolving any delays or issues. Team Leadership Lead and mentor a team of electricians, technicians, and subcontractors. Provide on-the-job training, set performance expectations, and foster a team-oriented work environment. Please make sure that the proper staffing levels and delegate tasks are taken care. Technical Oversight Conduct detailed site assessments to determine electrical installation requirements. Develop and implement installation plans that comply with electrical codes and HT system standards. Please look over technical drawings, schematics, and project specifications for accuracy. Safety Management Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations on-site, especially those related to HT systems. Promote a culture of safety through regular training, audits, and compliance checks. Identify potential hazards and implement mitigation strategies. Quality Assurance Oversee the quality of electrical installations, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and company standards. Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of HT equipment and systems. Collaboration Coordinate with project managers, design engineers, procurement teams, and other stakeholders to align project goals. Communicate installation progress and any site-related challenges to internal and external stakeholders. Troubleshooting and Support Serve as the technical point of contact for resolving electrical issues during installation and commissioning. Support the team in diagnosing faults and implementing corrective actions swiftly. Documentation and Reporting Maintain accurate and up-to-date project progress, installations, testing, and inspection records. Manage inventory and track usage of materials and equipment. Prepare reports for internal reviews and regulatory compliance. Required Qualifications and Skills Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Experience: Extensive hands-on experience in electrical installations for solar projects, specialising in high-voltage (HT) systems. Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of HT equipment (e.g., transformers, switchgear, relays), national and international electrical codes, and safety regulations. Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple installation projects simultaneously, with strong organisational and time management skills. Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead field teams, manage conflicts, and drive performance. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address technical challenges on-site.
